Our Story
We Build for

Born from
Frustration.
Swainee started in 2018 when our founder, tired of choosing between boots that performed and boots that had any personality, decided to build both in the same shoe.
The first prototype was stitched together in a garage in Queenstown, New Zealand — tested on the Remarkables, destroyed on the Routeburn, and rebuilt three times before it was right.
Today we make six styles. We'll never make sixty. Every shoe in the Swainee lineup is something we'd actually wear — because we do.
